profile picMy love for children started at the young age of 13 when my sisters and I began volunteering in our church nursery. I had my first babysitting job at the age of 15 and was taking care of a 6 month old, a 3 year old and a 6 year old independently. It was soon noticed by the neighborhood mothers that at my young age I had a mature nurturing quality. My weekends were soon filled with babysitting for Panthers games and date nights. Throughout high school, babysitting paid for prom dresses to designer jeans and years later began funding all of my college bills. Over the years I worked as a nanny for well over 20 families and eventually had to start handing jobs off to my sisters and friends because I couldn’t keep up with the demand.

I took the opportunity to get college credit for an internship with collegenannies.com and worked with the franchise branch in Charlotte. I was assigned the role of marketing director and nanny placement coordinator. I was able to intertwine my business knowledge along with my nanny attributes and bring the franchise more clients along with morebaby triplets employees, (nannies).By knowing what families need and want in caregivers for their children, I was able to market to the target prospects. My work always resulted in a happy family with a great nanny.

I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in business. However, I discovered upon interviewing in the corporate world my love for children would not fade. That is when I started researching becoming a Newborn Care Specialist, and my career choice was made.

As a triplet myself, I feel I owe my nurturing attributes to my mother.
